For optimal projection image quality and brightness, it is recommended to use the 8849 Tank 4 in a dimly lit environment with a projection distance of 1.5–2 meters. Image resolution and brightness will decrease as the projection distance increases. - Drop Resistance Disclaimer
Although 8849 rugged phones (including Tank 4) and tablets have passed IP68/IP69K certification tests, they are still precision electronic devices. Drop resistance may vary depending on factors such as impact angle, surface hardness, and long-term wear. It is strongly recommended to use the original protective case to enhance overall and long-term protection. - Water and Dust Resistance Disclaimer
This device is rated IP68/IP69K in accordance with the IEC 60529 international standard. Testing is conducted under controlled laboratory conditions in static fresh water (up to 1.8 meters deep for a maximum of 30 minutes). In daily use, exposure to seawater, swimming pool water, soapy water, hot water, or other liquids may reduce protective performance. Do not operate buttons or ports underwater. Water and dust resistance are not permanent and may diminish over time due to normal wear and tear. - Battery and Charging Safety

Love it grate projector wish they kept the manual focus with the auto so you can quickly do adjustments AND maybe like how it slips when angled up and down make it snap more side to side or have a knob to do it manually or have the manual focus do both like spin it to focus like the tank 3 and have joystick action to angle it up down left or right
Impressive device with tons of cool features at a great price point projector is great so is device screen...only gripe are the left side keys ...move them or add programmable option to right side also screen is flush with body...don't drop it on its face in gravel...they could had provided an additional layer of protection here in my eyes but all in it rocks!!

Good product overall, poor screen on blacks, doesn't seem to be AMOLED. Good projector, a stand inserted into the phone or in a case would have been very useful, manual keystone correction would have been useful. Good camera, excellent charging speed. and heavy but that was already known.

The phone is a great, tough rugged phone, with an oled screen. It's a great value for the price, and is great to use working outside as I do. I don't use the camera often, but I like the battery. Overall it's a great phone

It's a fun phone it has lots of gadgets, screen is beautiful, extremely fast at everything but the battery doesn't actually last as long as advertised when you're using it. It is extremely heavy. While watching a movie using the projector there is a fan that comes on and is very loud but necessary. Android 14. Cameras are outstanding. I haven't dropped it to see if it would break LOL and it appears fragile without the protective case and I am actually terrified of dropping it because it is extremely heavy and I'm afraid it will destroy itself by its own weight if I drop it but will find out eventually as we all tend to drop our phones at some point and this thing is so heavy it makes it more possible to drop it. Would make an excellent defense weapon. I plan on keeping it and only using it for camping trips. Will update this post as needed.

I own the Tank Pro 2 and Tank tablet so I am familiar with these products. The Tank 4 is an excellent upgrade to previous devices. The amoled screen looks very good and the projector resolution upgrade is definitely noticeable. While I appreciate the size of the battery on the Tank 2, I think the slimmer size due to decreased battery was a good decision. Holding the Tank 4 feels more like a phone than a brick. Overall the device is really fun and nearly indestructible. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys rugged phones.

TANK 4 lives up to its name as it is in fact, a TANK!! The features of.this phone are incredible. We bought it for camping and movie projector and it should fit the bill nicely. There's one unadvertised feature that would hopefully never be needed. It could be used as a weapon if thrown at someone and probably knock them out. This phone is quite heavy but was expected. Hopefully we do get software updates on this as stated. All in all, a very useful internet appliance. We have T Mobile and it all works great on this phone. Now I need that tablet!!!

8849 rugged phones and rugged tablets are global unlocked devices, suitable for use almost in all countries. They support multiple global languages (you can set them yourself) and work with most major international carriers. Note: 8849 rugged phones and rugged tablets work with Verizon and T-Mobile in the USA, but AT&T and Sprint are not supported.
Is 8849 phone/tablet resistant to saltwater, seawater, or chlorinated water?
8849 phone/tablet’s water resistance is tested in freshwater. Saltwater, seawater, and common chlorinated water (e.g., diluted disinfectants, pool water, bleaching powder solution, chlorine dioxide solution, chloramine solution) are corrosive. Contact may corrode metal parts, cause button malfunctions, or damage circuit boards. The device’s water resistance does not protect against such corrosive liquids.If the phone/tablet gets into such liquids, immediately take it out, turn it off, rinse with freshwater, wipe dry, and air-dry (do not power on or use high heat to dry).
Note: Such damage is considered improper use and not covered by warranty.
