For optimal image quality and brightness, it is recommended to use the 8849 TANK 5 Pro with a projection distance of 1.5–2 meters. Image resolution and brightness may decrease as the projection distance increases. - Drop Resistance Disclaimer
Although 8849 rugged phones and tablets have passed IP68/IP69K certification tests, they are still precision electronic devices. Drop resistance may vary depending on factors such as impact angle, surface hardness, and long-term wear. It is strongly recommended to use the original protective case to enhance overall and long-term protection. - Water and Dust Resistance Disclaimer
This device is rated IP68/IP69K in accordance with the IEC 60529 international standard. Testing is conducted under controlled laboratory conditions in static fresh water (up to 1.8 meters deep for a maximum of 30 minutes). In daily use, exposure to seawater, swimming pool water, soapy water, hot water, or other liquids may reduce protective performance. Do not operate buttons or ports underwater. Best phone ever.
OMG, this is an amazing device. Saying this is a phone would be significant understatement - it is definitively more than a phone - it is a infrared camera, powerful daytime projector, underwater camera, top-of-the line octa-core MediaTek CPU capable of continuous 3.4GHz operation, whopping 18GB of DRAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Not to mention a ultrabright flash light. 18Ah battery will give you 4 days of intensive usage without charging! Finally, put it on a table , and it is an immediate conversation starter, and will leave no-one without a lot of questions and comments. If you wonder, fits well into dress pants, stretch pants and dress jackets/suits. Total flagship phone.
This phone is quite impressive! It functions smoothly even after installing everything both personal and business related doesn't bog it down. The thermal imaging camera and infrared camera are responsive and work great up to about 60-75 feet away. The worst thing is the antenna: if at the end of a 5g/4g zone there is a lot of stuttering and lost connections while the phone is switching between 5g and 4g and vise versa. If that could be patched then this is a 5 star phone!

Die Performance auch um einiges besser, wobei das Tank X schon echt ultra geil war. Der Beamer ist jetzt auch noch Mal besser geworden! Also ich habe mein absolutes Android End Gerät gefunden und mich in den 8849 Uniherz Hersteller verliebt!
Swiss Army Knife of phones. Battery bank, projector, FLiR, waterproof, multi-SIM, TF card... This is just everything anyone would ever need. It is heavy and the FM radio was removed (great sadness), but there are so many new uses for the T5P. The FLiR is really nice, the screen is bright in daylight, the projector is clear and sharp.. on and on. I wear a belt holster as it probably won't fit in your pocket, but since it can provide power to your friend's phones, it means I pack less when I go camping. I'd like to see the red light to be available as a flashlight instead of just a warning strobe. The volume seems lower than the previous model and I'd like them to bring the FM radio back. If camping in an area with no streaming, the radio was nice.
The thermal features sounds really good, which adds up to the hype to buy it.

have some questions about possible mounts and accessories but all in all the product is amazing I would like to be able to order gorilla Glass covers for the projector lens and I bought a few different mounts trying to find one that would fit for a boom mount to aim projector
The projector itself is perfect for blowing up schematics for group viewing on the fly all in all I'm interested in becoming a sales rep for this company cuz I feel like I could get a lot of units of the 5 pro moved in my industry

Moisture forms inside the projector lens occasionally.
Our China Shenzhen factory is near the sea with high humidity, so minor ambient moisture may remain inside the phone. When the projector runs, heavy heat evaporates this moisture, forming fog on the lens.Solution: Gently take out the SIM tray and leave the phone in a ventilated area, or use a fan to dry it. Run the projector for several hours to speed up evaporation. Repeat if fog remains. Once fully dried, secure all waterproof rubber plugs tightly to avoid moisture ingress, and the fogging will not recur.
Can I connect the Tank 5 / TANK 5 Pro to a Bluetooth speaker or use the Aux output while using the projection function?
Yes.
Are rugged phones unbreakable?
No. Rugged phones are far more drop-resistant than regular phones due to reinforced design, but the screen, camera, and projector glass can still crack if dropped from ≥1.5m onto concrete or gravel.
Use a protective case and tempered glass screen protector. The case absorbs impact, and the protector cracks first to save the screen.
Also, keep charging port seals tightly closed. Loose seals cause water damage. Most manufacturers' warranty policies explicitly exclude water damage caused by improper sealing or normal wear and tear. Even IP68/IP69K rated phones lose water resistance over time due to wear and aging.

Is 8849 rugged phone/tablet resistant to saltwater, seawater, or chlorinated water?
8849 phone/tablet’s water resistance is tested in freshwater. Saltwater, seawater, and common chlorinated water (e.g., diluted disinfectants, pool water, bleaching powder solution, chlorine dioxide solution, chloramine solution) are corrosive. Contact may corrode metal parts, cause button malfunctions, or damage circuit boards.
