Usage & Safety Note
1. Projection Function
For optimal projection image quality and brightness, it is recommended to use the 8849 Tank 4 Pro in a dimly lit environment with a projection distance of 1.5–2 meters. Image resolution and brightness will decrease as the projection distance increases.
2. Drop Resistance Disclaimer
Although 8849 rugged phones (including Tank 4 Pro) and tablets have passed IP68/IP69K certification tests, they are still precision electronic devices. Drop resistance may vary depending on factors such as impact angle, surface hardness, and long-term wear. It is strongly recommended to use the original protective case to enhance overall and long-term protection.
3. Water and Dust Resistance Disclaimer
This device is rated IP68/IP69K in accordance with the IEC 60529 international standard. Testing is conducted under controlled laboratory conditions in static fresh water (up to 1.8 meters deep for a maximum of 30 minutes). In daily use, exposure to seawater, swimming pool water, soapy water, hot water, or other liquids may reduce protective performance. Do not operate buttons or ports underwater. Water and dust resistance are not permanent and may diminish over time due to normal wear and tear.
4. Battery and Charging Safety
The built-in battery of 8849 Tank 4 Pro is non-removable. Unauthorized or non-professional disassembly may damage the device and will void water/dust resistance and warranty coverage. Please use original or 8849-certified fast-charging accessories. Charging the device in extremely high or low temperatures, or while the device is wet, may activate protection mechanisms and reduce charging speed. Do not charge the device when it is wet.
5. Screen and Display
The 120Hz adaptive refresh rate automatically adjusts according to on-screen content to balance smooth performance and power consumption. Some applications or games may be limited to specific frame rates. The display uses high-strength glass with an anti-scratch coating; however, contact with sand, gravel, or sharp objects should still be avoided.
6. Storage and Expansion
The operating system and pre-installed applications occupy a portion of the total storage capacity; therefore, actual available storage is less than the nominal value. For expandable storage, it is recommended to use a UHS-I Class 10 or higher microSD card, formatted as exFAT to support large files.
7. Dimensions and Appearance
The size and weight of 8849 smartphones may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. Screen size is measured diagonally with rounded corners; the actual visible display area is slightly smaller.
8. Camera Features
Camera resolution and functions may be adjusted through software updates. Some shooting modes dynamically change resolution and frame rate. Camera startup and autofocus performance may be affected in extremely low or high temperature environments.
9. Network and Connectivity

10. Accessories and Maintenance
8849 rugged phones are equipped with waterproof port covers. Before use, ensure all covers are fully inserted and free from wear or damage. If the device becomes wet, wipe it dry and allow it to rest briefly before charging. Do not charge immediately. Regularly clean ports and speaker openings to prevent dust accumulation that may affect performance.
11. Environmental Adaptability
Recommended Operating Temperature: 0°C–35°C (32°F–95°F). Battery performance and screen responsiveness may decrease under extreme temperature conditions. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light or chemical solvents may affect the durability and color of the device housing.
12. Warranty Coverage
Damage caused by liquid ingress, drops, crushing, unauthorized disassembly or repair, or the use of non-original accessories is not covered under warranty.
13. Performance Disclaimer
The dynamic memory expansion (virtual RAM) feature allocates a portion of internal storage as additional system memory. Actual performance gains depend on application load and storage performance. Sufficient available storage space is required to enable this feature.
14. Durability Notice
Water, dust, and drop resistance are not permanent features. Protective performance may gradually decline due to daily wear, impacts, and aging. Dust or sand may enter the internal cooling fan and cause it to stop functioning. This issue can usually be resolved by using compressed air, such as at an automotive service shop. Do not intentionally test the device beyond its rated waterproof or drop-resistant limits.
15. Safety Reminder
8849 Tank 4 pro rugged smartphone is equipped with multiple built-in sensors and have been tested and validated by 8849 R&D laboratories. Long-term use in harsh environments—such as strong magnetic fields, high temperature and humidity, or heavy dust—may reduce sensor accuracy and shorten service life.
Projector is remarkable, but the brightness is ok, 150lm instead of the 100lm would be a game changer. Wish the battery had the capacity like the tank 3s, but still not bad, 2-3 days regular use is better then other mainstream 1 day battery capacity. Camaras are not great but not terrible. Night vision is awesome, disappointed with the 50mp telephoto though. You would think 50mp would be ok when zoomed in but apparently not. Maybe a 10mp AI would be better. Disappointed with the gallery and video apps, google files and all other apps from the store have ads like crazy. I give the phone a 7.8/10

The Tank 4 Pro phone really impressed me. Its sturdy build feels great in the hand and gives a sense of durability. The display is bright and easy to read, even in direct sunlight. The battery life is outstanding, lasting the whole day without a recharge. It runs smoothly with no lag, and the camera takes sharp, clear photos. An excellent choice for anyone looking for a powerful and rugged smartphone.
The display is clear and colourful, the projector is more than I expected, and the projection is clear and sometimes looks better than 720P. The battery life is amazing, and I can roughly guess you can constantly project for 3 to 4 hours. The camera at first glance was a bit of a dissapointment but when you fine tune the settings in the pro mode then the camera starts to shine and starts to show its true capabilities I hope they add better automation on the camera so it can adjust itself automatically and i don't have to do it manually. The infrared camera is amazing; you can expect a functional range of around 16-17 meters. Even tho the phone is on the heavier side, I don't find it too heavy to be an inconvenience. Also, please add a easier way to calibrate the sensors of the phone it took me a while to figure out that you need to type *#*#3377#*#* in a call to get to the calibration option once you calibrate the phone properly all functions that the phone promises run smoothly. Also, please write somewhere that this phone is not that resistant to salt waterchlorinatedd water, since there is an underwater camera. I checked the resistance more deeply and I found out that it can last around 30 minutes in fresh water at a depth of 1,5 meters. I know that it should be evident from the certificates you show, but I think that this achievement should be on display more. The charging is really fast. I will see how long the battery will last after more charges.
In short, the phone, after calibration, delivers on what it promised and exceeds it. Please update the camera software. The camera has so much potential that can be uncovered with just some adjustments. Please make calibration easier to access. Otherwise, this is an amazing phone that I would recommend.
This is the best Unihertz device i've owned so far. The 3K Amoled screen with 120Hz refresh rate which can be set to 60 or 90 or 120Hz without the need for a reboot is so nice too. The projector is very good too. The warning lights are a cool feature and the camping light is extremely useful. I have the 1Tb/18Gb version to make it more futureproof and the extra RAM and storage is so nice to have. I highly recommend this sweet piece of technology.

I was skeptical about buying this phone at first but when it was on sale for Black Friday I decided to get one. It has all the specs that I'm looking for in an Android phone. Along with the fact that its waterproof and has a built in 720p projector it is the best android phone I have ever owned!
The only downside I have about this phone is how much it weighs but the weight makes sense considering the size of the battery. If you are looking for a rugged phone with a long battery life and innovative features the Tank 4 Pro is a phone that might interest you.

The projector on my Tank 4 Pro is blurry. How can I fix it?
Go to Settings → Open Projector → Restore default projector settings.
Open the dial pad and enter: *#*#3377#*#*
Enter Single Item Test → Select Projector.At 1 meter distance, use + / – to adjust the image until clear.Keep pressing OK (do not change any other settings).After adjustment, tap Success and exit.
Which network operators are supported?
8849 rugged phones and rugged tablets are global unlocked devices, suitable for use almost in all countries. They support multiple global languages (you can set them yourself) and work with most major international carriers. Note: 8849 rugged phones and rugged tablets work with Verizon and T-Mobile in the USA, but AT&T and Sprint are not supported.

Does Tank 4 Pro come with a cooling fan and protective silicone case?
It comes with DC Fan but not protective silicone case.
Is 8849 phone/tablet resistant to saltwater, seawater, or chlorinated water?
8849 phone/tablet’s water resistance is tested in freshwater. Saltwater, seawater, and common chlorinated water (e.g., diluted disinfectants, pool water, bleaching powder solution, chlorine dioxide solution, chloramine solution) are corrosive. Contact may corrode metal parts, cause button malfunctions, or damage circuit boards. The device’s water resistance does not protect against such corrosive liquids.If the phone/tablet gets into such liquids, immediately take it out, turn it off, rinse with freshwater, wipe dry, and air-dry (do not power on or use high heat to dry).
Note: Such damage is considered improper use and not covered by warranty.
Are rugged phones unbreakable?
No. Rugged phones are far more drop-resistant than regular phones due to reinforced design, but the screen, camera, and projector glass can still crack if dropped from ≥1.5m onto concrete or gravel.
Use a protective case and tempered glass screen protector. The case absorbs impact, and the protector cracks first to save the screen.
Also, keep charging port seals tightly closed. Loose seals cause water damage. Most manufacturers' warranty policies explicitly exclude water damage caused by improper sealing or normal wear and tear. Even IP68/IP69K rated phones lose water resistance over time due to wear and aging.
