Usage & Safety Note

  1. For optimal projection image quality and brightness, it is recommended to use the 8849 Tank 2 in a dimly lit environment with a projection distance of 1.8–2 meters. Image resolution and brightness will decrease as the projection distance increases.
  2. Drop Resistance Disclaimer
Although the Tank 2 has passed IP68/IP69K certification tests, it remains a precision electronic product. Drop resistance may vary depending on impact angle, surface hardness, and long-term wear. Using the original protective case is strongly recommended to enhance long-term protection.
  3. Water & Dust Resistance Disclaimer
Rated IP68/IP69K in accordance with the IEC 60529 international standard, based on laboratory testing in static fresh water (up to 1.8 meters for 30 minutes). Exposure to seawater, pool water, soapy water, hot water, or other liquids may reduce protective performance. Do not operate buttons or ports underwater. Water and dust resistance are not permanent and may diminish over time.
  4. Battery & Charging Safety
The built-in battery is non-removable. Unauthorized disassembly may damage the device and void water resistance and warranty coverage. Use only original or certified fast-charging accessories. Charging in extreme temperatures or while the device is wet may reduce charging speed. Do not charge when wet.
  5. Screen & Display
Features a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate that adjusts automatically to balance smooth performance and power consumption. Some apps or games may be limited to specific frame rates. The display uses high-strength glass with an anti-scratch coating, but contact with sand, gravel, or sharp objects should be avoided.
  6. Storage & Expansion
System files and pre-installed apps occupy part of the storage, so actual available space is less than the nominal capacity. For expansion, a UHS-I Class 10 or higher microSD card, formatted as exFAT, is recommended.
  7. Dimensions & Appearance
Size and weight may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. Screen size is measured diagonally with rounded corners; actual visible area is slightly smaller.
  8. Camera Features
Camera resolution and functions may change with software updates. Some modes dynamically adjust resolution and frame rate. Camera startup and autofocus performance may be affected in extremely high or low temperatures.
  9. Network & Connectivity
VoLTE availability depends on local carrier support. Google services (such as Google Pay) may not be available in certain countries or regions. Please check local compatibility in advance:

  10. Accessories & Maintenance
Tank 2 rugged smartphone is equipped with waterproof port covers. Ensure all covers are fully sealed and undamaged before use. After water exposure, dry the device and allow it to rest briefly before charging. Clean ports and speaker openings regularly to prevent dust buildup.
  11. Environmental Adaptability
Recommended operating temperature: 0°C–35°C (32°F–95°F). Battery performance and screen responsiveness may decrease in extreme temperatures. Long-term exposure to UV light or chemical solvents may affect housing durability and color.
  12. Warranty Coverage
Damage caused by liquid ingress, drops, crushing, unauthorized disassembly or repair, or use of non-original accessories is not covered under warranty.
  13. Performance Disclaimer
Dynamic memory expansion (virtual RAM) uses part of internal storage as additional system memory. Actual performance depends on workload and storage speed. Sufficient free storage space is required.
  14. Durability Notice
Rugged protection is not permanent. Protective performance may decline due to wear, impacts, and aging. Dust or sand may enter the internal cooling fan and cause it to stop; this can usually be resolved using compressed air. Do not intentionally test extreme waterproof or drop limits.
  15. Safety Reminder
The smartphone integrates multiple sensors and has been tested by 8849 R&D laboratories. Long-term use in harsh environments—such as strong magnetic fields, high heat and humidity, or heavy dust—may reduce sensor accuracy and shorten service life.

FAQ
