- Projection Function
For optimal image quality and brightness, it is recommended to use the 8849 TANK X with a projection distance of 1.5–2 meters. Image resolution and brightness may decrease as the projection distance increases. - Drop Resistance Disclaimer
Although 8849 rugged phones (including 8849 TANK X Projector Phone) and tablets have passed IP68/IP69K certification tests, they are still precision electronic devices. Drop resistance may vary depending on factors such as impact angle, surface hardness, and long-term wear. It is strongly recommended to use the original protective case to enhance overall and long-term protection. - Water and Dust Resistance Disclaimer
This device is rated IP68/IP69K in accordance with the IEC 60529 international standard. Testing is conducted under controlled laboratory conditions in static fresh water (up to 1.8 meters deep for a maximum of 30 minutes). In daily use, exposure to seawater, swimming pool water, soapy water, hot water, or other liquids may reduce protective performance. Do not operate buttons or ports underwater. Water and dust resistance are not permanent and may diminish over time due to normal wear and tear. - Battery and Charging Safety
The built-in battery of 8849 TANK X is non-removable. Unauthorized or non-professional disassembly may damage the device and will void water/dust resistance and warranty coverage. 8849 rugged phones are equipped with waterproof port covers. Before use, ensure all covers are fully inserted and free from wear or damage. Not only the best projector phone, but also the best rugged phone!
I wont talk about the great things, because that would take too long.
But:
My biggest and only Problem so far is the Software.
Just for example, why does my Screen lock when i start the Projetor?
And why do i have to read the Warnings everytime?
When you pull out your Projector and then spend 1 Minute+ waiting and configuring, that kind of ruins the Moment.
Simply because of locked Screens, Warning labels, and not saved Settings.
I hope you can do something about this in the Future, i really love that Phone. :)

Ok, and one great thing that I want to mention is this: When i ordered, the EU Warehouse ran out of Phones, so the Support contacted me to organize a quick switch. And within 10 Days from the time of Order, my Phone was here. Well done.
After one‑tap projection, the screen will automatically lock according to the system settings to prevent accidental operations. Just swipe your finger to unlock it. The projector will be ready in about 9 seconds; it takes a few seconds to start up and will display warning messages during the process. Please use a protective case for your phone to prevent drops and avoid damage to the screen, lens or projector glass. Thank you.
Very similar to the Tank 3 Pro but I appreciate the improved projector quality and auto focus. The battery is too small for the amount of power the projector uses and needs something similar in size to the Tank 3 Pro.
I really love the amazing perjector and sharp design. The only two things that i would really like are,Dimensity 8300 and an OLED display. Everything else is all but perfect!
This phone seems to do everything. I haven't taken any underwater photos yet, But i look forward to doing so! I love only having to charge twice a week with this huge battery.

Incredible updates from the Tank 3 Pro and Tank 4 Pro. Projector brightness and quality is extremely noticeable while playing both the Tank 4 Pro and Tank X. The body size and weight is closer to the 3 Pro, so expect it to be a bit bulkier than the 4 Pro, which is to be expected due to the stronger projector and larger battery.
I’ve always loved these phones, and they keep getting better by generation! I plan to keep purchasing upgrades as they get released. Highly recommended, if you are an active and outdoorsy individual seeking a rugged phone that matches your lifestyle.

Speakers are super loud and clear. Projector is amazing. Spot light is even better then the old models. I had the original tank for about 3 years and can testify for how tough they are.Dropped old one in motor oil and even lost it out of the back of a atv tool box while driving. The original tank never me down and im sure this one is even greater!!

Das Ding hat tatsächlich 3 Verschiedene Lampen eingebaut. Standarttaschenlampe wie in jedem Handy. Campinglicht [****] Lumen, Fokutaschenlampe über den Beamer. Ka wie hell. Der Beamer ist ech lustig, Full HD Bild ganz locker aus der Hüfte an die Wand 😀
Nebenbei natürlich aktuelle zusammenstellung mit 8 Kern-CPU usw. was auch sonst jedes neuere Handy hat. 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD. 5G, Dual-WLAN, BT und jeden anderen scheiß.
Ist im ganzen größer und einiges höher als mein vorheriges Handy. Gewicht von 616g auf 750g gestiegen obwohl 5Ah weniger. Das ist aber jetzt so langsam auch mein Limit. Aber Ansage des Herstellers, es wäre zur Selbstverteidigung geeignet 😂
Ah, und wer es braucht Nachtsicht ist auch drin 😀
Und bei Chinahandys immer gut: Netzeil 120W DABEI mitsamt einem Kabel. Bildschirmschutz bereits installiert, zusätzliche liegt bei. Hülle mit bei.
5G Verbindung via V-Provider ca. 200 Mbit/s, Verbindung zum NAS Intern ca. 30 MB/s .
Akkulaufzeit ist noch zu bewerten. Komplette Einrichtung ohne zusätzliche Daten hat 2% gekostet. Gerät kam mit 36% an. Volllanden auf 100% dauerte keine Stunde danach.
Einzig, konnte noch keine Anwendung für die Fernbedienung-IR-Sensor finden.
Projektor ist cool. Tageslicht, naja... helle Umgebung brauchbar. Dunkle Umgebung bis 120" mit internem Lautsprecher gut machbar.

Settings → Projector → Focus adjustment. Tap the + or – button to adjust the focus.
Which network operators are supported?
8849 rugged phones and rugged tablets are global unlocked devices, suitable for use almost in all countries. They support multiple global languages (you can set them yourself) and work with most major international carriers. Note: 8849 rugged phones and rugged tablets work with Verizon and T-Mobile in the USA, but AT&T and Sprint are not supported.

Are rugged phones unbreakable?
A: No. Rugged phones are far more drop-resistant than regular phones due to reinforced design, but the screen, camera, and projector glass can still crack if dropped from ≥1.5m onto concrete or gravel.
Use a protective case and tempered glass screen protector. The case absorbs impact, and the protector cracks first to save the screen.
Also, keep charging port seals tightly closed. Loose seals cause water damage. Most manufacturers' warranty policies explicitly exclude water damage caused by improper sealing or normal wear and tear. Even IP68/IP69K rated phones lose water resistance over time due to wear and aging.
Is 8849 rugged phone/tablet resistant to saltwater, seawater, or chlorinated water?
8849 phone/tablet’s water resistance is tested in freshwater. Saltwater, seawater, and common chlorinated water (e.g., diluted disinfectants, pool water, bleaching powder solution, chlorine dioxide solution, chloramine solution) are corrosive. Contact may corrode metal parts, cause button malfunctions, or damage circuit boards. The device’s water resistance does not protect against such corrosive liquids.If the phone/tablet gets into such liquids, immediately take it out, turn it off, rinse with freshwater, wipe dry, and air-dry (do not power on or use high heat to dry).
Note: Such damage is considered improper use and not covered by warranty.
